Captain Tailgate- NFL Week 1

The NFL season is here, and with it comes the drama of each week and the quest of each team to hang a banner in their stadium. And with each game is the consumption of food.

My kids aren’t so into watching the game, but they love the grill and the food that comes from it. I see this as an opportunity…

I’ve decided to celebrate each week with a small foray into tailgating using my handy Stok Gridiron Gas Grill. The best part of tailgating? You don’t have to have a ticket to the game – or even be anywhere near it. All you need is a grill and some food.

This week? Wings.

I chose three flavors for opening week – tangy bar-b-que, teriyaki, and a mild sauce. Let them marinate in a bag for about 30 minutes and then threw them on the grill.

I let them cook and seasoned them a bit more while they were on the grill.

In the meantime, I worked on my picks for the week. Here are my winners –

Patriots, Dolphins, Browns, Packers, Colts, Panthers, Texans, Seahawks, Saints, Chargers, Broncos, Titans, Bengals, Cowboys, Falcons, Vikings.

So who you got? And whatcha grilling?

And GO BROWNS!

Disclosure: I did receive a grill from Stok for the purposes of reviewing, but that was several posts ago. I have not been compensated for this post – my words, thoughts, and wings are my own. And they are delicious.
