Like A Hugo Boss

This past Friday, I had the opportunity to meet Reggie Wayne of the Indianapolis Colts at the Castleton Macy’s here in Indianapolis.

Wayne is loved here, as well he should be- he has played his entire career here. And played well.

When he made it into the aisles of Macy’s the chants started up – “Reggie! Reggie! Reggie!”

A couple things struck me about Mr. Wayne, who was appearing courtesy of Hugo Boss, the first of which was the humility that he displayed. He was fawned over, photographed, and questioned. And he was patient with every single person that came through the line.

He signed every autograph and posed for every picture. He smiled with grandkids, grandmothers (at least 3 asked him out on a date), parents, and kids. It was fun to watch. One family even appeared to get next year’s holiday card taken with Reggie as a part of the family.

Eventually, I had the opportunity to meet him. I shook his hand, and I couldn’t lie to the man. I revealed that I was a Browns fan – the same team his Colts had just beaten the previous weekend.

Wayne could have laughed at me, but instead told me that my Browns will be alright once their offense gets straightened out. And then he polite posed for a few pics with a friend of mine, who is also fellow blogger.

I haven’t met many football stars, but I’m sure not all of them could work a room like Mr. Wayne did. He was as personable as can be. He carried himself with class. Like a boss. like a Hugo Boss!

I was also at Macy’s for another reason, which I stated in a previous post , and that was to deliver my letter to Santa. While I don’t want to reveal what was in my list, the good news is that I have gifts to offer you!

Head to my Facebook page (Like me while you are there) for a chance to win a $50 Macy’s gift card, Yes Virginia DVD, Yes Virginia book, Virginia doll, Believe mailbox ornament, Believe apron and Believe stocking. A total estimated value of over $125.

So don’t forget to stop by and enter. It’s easy, but the contest ends at 5 pm on Monday. Must be in the continental U.S.

That’s it for now…Captain out.

Disclosure:I have partnered with Macy’s for this giveaway. My thoughts and words are my own.
